ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A Kansas woman claims in a lawsuit against the Denny's restaurant chain that cleaning fluid left on a toilet seat at a Lake Saint Louis Denny's burned her buttocks.

The lawsuit says Kathleen Williams of Leavenworth County had to be taken to a hospital after she sat down on the toilet in February 2002. It says she did not see the chemical cleaner on the seat but felt it burn as soon as she sat down.

The suit says Williams suffered serious and permanent injuries.

Williams' lawyer says Williams has to take pain medication and wear undergarments designed for burn victims.

The suit seeks more than 25-thousand dollars in damages, alleging that Denny's employees were negligent in their use of the chemicals and their failure to warn customers of the danger.

Denny's had no comment.
